What is Buddhism?

Buddhism is an Asian religion or philosophy, founded by Siddhartha Gautama in northeastern India in the 5Th century BC. A brief history of Buddhism is that it spanned through 6Th century BC to the present day, on the day of birth of Buddha Siddhartha Gautama on an India Subcontinent. The religion evolved as it spread from the northeastern region of the Indian subcontinent through Central, East, and Southwest Asia. The history of Buddhism is very fascinating.
